You cook up a large ham for holiday dinner! It is delicious, but now you have all this leftover ham. Here are some of the best ideas for how to use that leftover ham. These are my top 10 recipes for using leftover ham.

With all the other food that you had for the holiday, like Sweet Potato Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, Hashbrown Casserole, Scalloped Potatoes, Apple Walnut Cranberry Salad, and of course, Carrot Cake, there is only so much room left for the Peach Glazed Ham or Brown Sugar Pineapple Ham.

In addition, often the smallest ham you can buy at the grocery store is more than a family of four can eat.

Therefore, you need some delicious recipes that transform the leftover ham into delicious new recipes so your family won’t even know that they are eating leftovers.

You can transform the leftover ham into soups, salads, casseroles, sandwiches, and more! And the good news is that you can freeze ham to serve at a later date as well. You can keep cooked ham in the refrigerator for 3 or 4 days, but you can keep it up to 3 months if you freeze it.

The best way to store ham for use later is to slice it off the bone or cut it into chunks. Then store it in freezer-safe, airtight containers either in the refrigerator or in the freezer.

Reheat ham, place it in a baking dish and cover it in foil, and heat it low and slow in a preheated oven at 275 degrees F. until it is warm.

I’m here to help. I’m sharing the Best 10 Leftover Ham Recipes for using leftover ham.

Our family loves ham. We have it several times throughout the year, and it doesn’t have to be a special occasion. There are endless ways to use ‘good’ leftover ham. Whenever we have leftover Semi-Boneless Honey Ham, we like to have it in many ways, but most of us like to make several different kinds of sandwiches…..Ham Salad, Grilled Ham & Cheese, & our favorites: Croque Monsuir & Croque Madam. Whenever we have leftover Bone In Smoked Ham Shoulder, I use the bone – along with plenty of attached leftover meat & make a REAL Ham & Pea Soup. Also, I don’t even want to start bragging about my family’s (unsmoked & de-boned) Stuffed Ham! Ham is wonderful, & has limitless possibilities. BTW, we enjoy ham so often throughout the year, that we’re having Leg of Lamb (with all the trimmings) on Easter Sunday, with Hummingbird Cake for dessert. Happy Easter to you & your family, Michelle.
