Ingredients

Below, I discuss the ingredients and possible substitutions if you don’t have a specific ingredient. However, if you are looking for the specific measurements of each ingredient, scroll down to the bottom of this article, just above the comments, for the printable recipe card, which includes all the ingredients and the specific amounts of each one.

You will need the following ingredients to make this air fryer apple crisp recipe. Each can be easily found at a local grocery store.

Apple Filling

  • Apples – You’ll need fresh apples. I like to use granny smith apples, but you can use any type of apples, including sweet apples like delicious apples, that you have on hand. Instead of apple slices like in an apple pie, you’ll need to dice the apples for this recipe.
  • Cinnamon – You’ll need ground cinnamon for this apple crisp recipe.
  • Nutmeg – I used ground nutmeg with the cinnamon. However, you could use cinnamon only.
  • Lime juice – If you don’t have lime juice, then you can use lemon juice. I recommend using freshly squeezed lime juice from limes, if possible.
  • Maple syrup – Be sure to use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
  • Coconut Oil or Butter – 1 Tablespoon melted coconut oil – You could also use butter instead.

Crumble Topping

  • Old-Fashioned Oats – I used old-fashioned oats. However, if you only have quick oats, you can use that but the texture may be slightly different.
  • Cinnamon
  • Finely Chopped nuts
  • Maple syrup – For the best flavor, I highly recommend using real maple syrup instead of imitation.
  • All-purpose flour
  • Butter or Coconut Oil
