However, now I alway try to have easy appetizers, like this 4-ingredient Pepperoncini Gruyere Cocktail Crostini, that I can pop in the oven for 5 minutes and serve.
To make these Pepperoncini Gruyere Cocktail Crostini all you need is a baguette, gruyere cheese, Hillshire Farm Cocktail Lit’l Smokies smoked sausages and pepperoncini peppers.
I buy the 3-pound package of the Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies smoked sausages and use 1 lb for these Pepperoncini Gruyere Cocktail Crostini and then place the remaining Hillshire Farm Lit'l Smokies smoked sausages in a slow cooker with some barbecue sauce for an easy self-serve appetizer.

Ingredients
- 1 baguette
- 1 3 lb package Hillshire Farms Cocktails L'il Smokies
- 1 package gruyere cheese sliced
- 1 jar sliced pepperoncini
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch slices. Place on a baking sheet covered with foil. Bake in the oven for 8 minutes or until toasted.
- Place slices of gruyere cheese on top of the crostini toasts.
- Slice 1 lb of Hillshire Farm Lit’l Smokies smoked sausages in half lengthwise.
- Place 2 halves of the Hillshire Farms Cocktails on each crostini.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
- Top with sliced pepperoncini peppers.
