This easy Confetti Kettle Corn Popcorn Recipe will make any celebration incredibly fun, whether you are celebrating the Movie Awards, a birthday, an anniversary, a promotion, or whatever your reason you have for throwing a party.
I love this easy Confetti Kettle Corn Popcorn Recipe because you can’t help but smile when you look at that colorful sprinkle covered popcorn. It makes any party more fun. What is even better is that it is unbelievably easy to make, easy enough for the kids to make, or maybe that big kid who is your significant other.
It is awards season right now. You know that big movie awards show on Sunday evening where all the stars come out in their beautiful gowns or their tuxedos to walk on the red carpet with hopes of meeting that popular little guy, Oscar.
Do you get together with friends to watch the big movie awards show? Or do you and the family gather around the television to watch the awards? Do you create party themes that tie in with the movies nominated for best picture? As a family we watch the big movie awards show together munching on popcorn and trying to guess who will win all the big awards, and admiring all the beautiful gowns.
But back to the food. While we love sweet popcorn, like Kettle Corn, we would like to reduce the amount of sugar in it. That is why instead of covering the popcorn with granulated sugar, we instead sprayed it with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkled it with Splenda. However, I can’t pass up the pretty colors. So in my opinion, less sugar on the popcorn means I can splurge with sprinkles!

Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 cups air-popped popcorn
- 2 sprays of cooking spray
- 2 teaspoons SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener Granulated
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 Tablespoons sprinkles
Instructions
- In a large bowl add air-popped popcorn. Spray with cooking spray and toss to coat.
- Stir in SPLENDA® and salt.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add all the popcorn. Stir constantly just until sugar just starts to melt.
- Carefully pour into a large bowl or several small serving cups. Sprinkle sprinkles over the top of each serving dish. Enjoy!
