How To Make Chex Mix Muddy Buddies

- In a large bowl, gently stir together the corn chex, rice chex, chocolate chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts, and set aside.
- In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, make the sauce. Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and salted butter. Microwave in 15-30 second intervals, stirring in between until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Add the peanut butter mixture to the Chex ingredients and gently stir to combine until well coated.
- Working in batches and using a zip-top bag, add about 2 cups worth of the Chex mix mixture.
- Pour in some of the powdered sugar, about ⅓ cup.
- Close the bag and toss well to coat everything in the powdered sugar. If it seems like you need more powdered sugar, add more until it is coated to your liking.
- Add the coated mixture to a large bowl and repeat until all of the Chex mix is coated. The amount of powdered sugar you use depends on how much you add to each batch.
- Finally, toss the peanut butter chips and chocolate chips with the Chex Mix. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Variations
- Reindeer Chow – Add red and green M&M’s to the snack mix.
- Nutella – Substitute Nutella for either the melted chocolate chips or the peanut butter.
- Kit Kat Muddy Buddies – Add crushed Kit Kat candy bars to the snack mix.
