This Sticky Wonder Popcorn Snack Mix is a fun sweet and salty popcorn snack mix to munch on during a family movie night.

Our family is so excited about the Wonder Woman movie. This movie is not just another superhero movie. It is a cultural event. I think it is wonderful that they show a strong woman as the hero of the movie.

For me, my mom was the Wonder Woman in my life. She was strong, smart, and kind. She battled cancer and won, raised my two older sisters as a single mom, and then married my Dad and raised 5 kids while working outside the home. That makes her a super hero in my book. This movie inspires me to share stories about my mom with my family and how she was the Wonder Woman hero in my life.

To celebrate my mom and the excitement around the Wonder Woman movie, I made this awesomely delicious Sticky Wonder Popcorn Snack Mix to munch on while we watch the movie.

It has two of my favorite ingredients, Orville Redenbacher's® popcorn drizzled with a sticky caramel sauce made with Dr Pepper®. In addition, I added crunchy corn cereal and candy-coated chocolate candies. Of course, we will be drinking Dr Pepper as well while we watch the movie and munch on this Sticky Wonder Popcorn Snack Mix.

I picked up both the Dr Pepper and Orville Redenbacher's® Popcorn at my local Kroger.

This recipe is so easy to make that even the kids can help with it. All you have to do is pop a package of the Orville Redenbacher's popcorn and empty it into a large bowl. Add two cups of crunchy corn cereal, and then the multi-colored candy-coated chocolate candies.

The next step is to make the Dr Pepper caramel sauce. In a microwave-safe bowl, add 2 cups of marshmallows, 3/4 cup Dr Pepper, and 1/3 cup brown sugar. Then drizzle the sauce over the popcorn and enjoy!

Ingredients

▢ 1 package Orville Redenbacher's® Popcorn
▢ 2 cups of a crunchy corn cereal
▢ 2 cups of a candy-coated chocolate candy
▢ 2 cups mini marshmallows
▢ 1/3 cup brown sugar
▢ 3/4 cup Dr Pepper

Instructions

Microwave a package of Orville Redenbacher's® Popcorn per the package instructions.
Empty the package of popped popcorn into a large bowl.
Add in the crunchy corn cereal and the candy-coated chocolate candy. Toss to combine.
In a microwave-safe bowl add the mini marshmallows, brown sugar, and Dr Pepper. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir. Repeat. You may have to repeat this 5 or 6 times until it is the consistency of caramel.
Drizzle the Dr Pepper caramel sauce over the popcorn and serve.
