I can’t believe it has been 25 years. Yes. 25 years ago Mr Flavor Mosaic and I said “I do.” I was a child bride, of course, since I’m only 29 now! 😉 We decided to celebrate this lobsterworthy event with our good friends, the Middlebrooks. They were at our wedding 25 years ago, and Darby is a nationwide relocation specialist and is helping educate us on what we need to do to get our home ready to sell and buy one closer to my Mother-in-law.
We decided to go to dinner at Red Lobster for their LobsterFest going on right now, for a limited time. We love the freshly prepared seafood, casual seaside atmosphere.
Their LobsterFest menu had a variety of lobster dishes to choose from. However, it also has lobster options on virtually every page of the menu so you can order lobster for any occasion. The server told us that Red Lobster sources its lobster from Main and Canada.
We started off with with fresh, crisp Caesar Salads.
I ordered the Dueling Lobster Tails, which consists of two Maine lobster tails, one roasted and topped with shrimp in a creamy garlic sauce, and the other golden-baked with crab-and-seafood stuffing. Both tasted amazing! I can’t choose one. I may have to order another one to decide which I like best!
Mr Flavor Mosaic ordered Rock Island Stuffed Tilapia, which includes Fresh tilapia roasted with crab-and-seafood stuffing and topped with Maine lobster meat in a creamy lobster butter sauce.
My friend, Darby, ordered the Roasted Maine Lobster Bake, which includes Roasted split petite Maine lobster tails tossed in a white wine and garlic-butter sauce, roasted with corn and potatoes.
Our friend ordered the Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon, which includes a Maine lobster tail, jumbo shrimp skewer and fresh Atlantic salmon, wood-grilled and finished with brown butter.
Then we celebrated with these gigantic frozen Lobsteritas.
For the finale, we shared a piece of rich, moist carrot cake with walnuts, salted caramel and cream cheese icing.
Overall, we had a wonderful dinner in relaxing, casual atmosphere with our friends who helped us celebrate our 25th anniversary.
