Snicker Apple Salad is a delicious Fall dessert salad with only 4 ingredients –  chopped apples, candy bars, whipped cream, and chocolate syrup – and is a great way to use up leftover Halloween candy.

Snicker Apple Salad requires only 4 ingredients for a yummy snack or dessert.

Is Snicker Apple Salad A Salad or Dessert?

I guess technically it is both. It is a dessert salad like Watergate Salad or Cranberry Fluff. I, myself, consider it a dessert instead of a salad because it is sweet. Every ingredient is sweet (unless you use tart apples.)

There is nothing savory or salad-y about it. You can use green apples if you want something green in this salad. 🙂

In reality, Snicker Apple Salad makes a fabulous, easy no-bake dessert for any occasion.

Snicker Apple Salad

What Type of Apples Should I use in Snicker Apple Salad?

If you want a tart flavor contrast to the sweet whipped cream, candy bars, and syrup, use Granny Smith apples. You don’t have to peel the apples but you can if you like.

You can use any apples you like. I used a combination of Gala and Red Delicious apples in this salad and it was delicious. I like to leave the skin on the apples because it saves time from peeling apples and it gives the salad some additional color.

What Ingredients Are In A Snicker Apple Salad?

I love this Snicker Apple Salad because it only requires 3 ingredients and I added an optional 4th ingredient just for fun.

  1. 4 – 5 large apples, cored and chopped, skin on
  2. 5  regular sized Snickers candy bars
  3. 1 12-ounce package refrigerated whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  4.  Chocolate Syrup (Optional)

Snicker Apple Salad requires only 4 ingredients for an awesome dessert or snack.

How To Make Snicker Apple Salad?

Making Snicker Apple Salad is so easy, it almost does not qualify as a recipe.

In a large bowl, stir together chopped apples, chopped Snickers candy bars, and whipped topping. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

If you like, drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of the Snicker Apple Salad just before serving.

Can Snicker Apple Salad Be Made Ahead?

Yes, you can easily make Snicker Apple Salad ahead of time, for example, make it the day before or the night before. However, I would not make it any earlier than that. Be sure to keep it refrigerated until you are ready to serve. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of the Snicker Apple Salad just before serving.
