Moist Chocolate Layer Cake is perfect for every celebration, and a perfect first recipe to celebrate joining the Real Housemom’s contributor family!
Great News! I’m joining the Real Housemom’s Contributor family. What does this mean? It means once a month I will write a blog post over at Real Housemoms. This calls for a celebration! That means chocolate cake, but not just any chocolate cake, it has to be this fantastic Moist Chocolate Layer Cake!
As you know, Flavor Mosaic recently celebrated it’s 1-year anniversary on July 26, 2013. My first post was Creamy Tomatillo Verde Avocado Salsa, a creamy, spicy, bold, Mexican dip. We still love that dip, taking only 5 minutes to make and tastes great.
We finished a giveaway recently to reward fans in honor of Flavor Mosaic’s birthday. People were asked what their favorite foods were for celebrations. We had a variety of answers but most answered cake, mainly chocolate cake. So I have lots of company when it comes to love of chocolate cake. Mr. Flavor Mosaic tells me a dessert must have chocolate, otherwise it is not a dessert.
This Moist Chocolate Layer Cake is a family tradition for a reason. It is moist, rich, and chocolatey, with a sweet, creamy frosting, and is easy to make. The hardest part is waiting for it to cool before frosting and eating it. Can you tell by the puddled frosting on the plate that we couldn’t wait?
My Mother-in-law asks for this cake when it is her birthday, or whenever we have any celebration. Mr. Flavor Mosaic will say we don’t need the calories so don’t make it for his birthday. However, I know better. If I didn’t have a chocolate cake for his birthday he would be very disappointed.
What will you celebrate with this deliciously rich Moist Chocolate Layer Cake?
