Kia Sorento Makes Mama’s Holidays Happy #DriveKia

I had a blast last week driving this fully loaded 2016 Kia Sorento for a test drive so I could write this review! Mama was styling in her new ride, taking it shopping and out on the town.

This 2016 Kia Sorento SXL AWD showed up in our driveway looking beautiful! Isn’t it gorgeous. I love the styling and the snow white pearl color …..

and the look of the cool front grill …..

and these awesome alloy wheels.

This particular vehicle had this gorgeous Merlot Nappa Leather interior.  Not only are these seats beautiful, but they are roomy and very comfortable with plenty of legroom.

One of the things I love about these seats is that not only are they heated, they are air conditioned too!! In Texas we typically use the air conditioning way more than the heat.

Not only are the seats heated, but so is the steering wheel! I also love the look of the dashboard. It has just about every feature you can imagine but I found the layout to be very functional and easy to use. Two thumbs up for the layout of the dashboard.

The other nice thing is that there is lots of space for passengers in the back seat, and you can lower the armrest to have a middle console. The Kia Sorento also has an optional third row seat, but for the two of us, we can use the extra storage in the back instead of the 3rd row seat.

My sister was happy to have plenty of legroom in the back seat.

It’s time to get behind the wheel and take this baby out on the town!

The navigation system helps me get where I’m going by not only giving me directions but letting me know where there are slow downs! How awesome is that?! I love the radio guys but they never seem to tell me about the traffic jams until I’m in them! This way I have the information all the time.

Look at how much space this Kia Sorento has! If you have a crew or soccer team to haul around, you will have plenty of room for everyone.

My favorite feature that helped me enjoy the journey even more was this incredible panoramic sunroof. It not only opened up for the front seat but for the backseat also. The sunroom was so large that I could not get a full picture of it. This panoramic sunroof was so awesome, I pretty much had it open all week.

While you are driving, the Kia Sorento looks out for you. It has a feature that you can turn on or off, when cruise control is on, to automatically keep a certain distance between you and the car in front of you. I didn’t try that feature, but it is good to know that Kia is looking out for the safety of me and my family.

It also has features to let you know if you are drifting into another lane or if there is a vehicle in your blind spot.

When I was backing up out of a parking space at a shopping center, the all around camera helped navigate, but it also beeped when there was a vehicle coming from the side driving fast through the parking lot. At the house when I am backing up out of the driveway, I can see almost the entire cul-de-sac, as well as the other cars in the driveway. I think this is probably the best feature for both safety and convenience.

However, I loved taking the Kia Sorento everywhere. I took it to go Shopping. It looks like a more expensive vehicle, and has all the same bells and whistles, but costs so much less.

We took it to the movies.

We took it out to dinner. I love that the Kia Sorento is so much more affordable than those other expensive brands because it allows you to have money left in your pocket to do fun things like go out to eat and go to the movies …..

Or do more shopping!

While you are out shopping, if you have to parallel park, the Kia Sorento will help with that. The all-around camera and sensors make it so much easier to parallel park. I am terrible at parallel parking, so this is a great feature for me. I have no more worries about parallel parking with this cool feature.

The Kia Sorento has so many more features it is hard to fit them all in one review. For example, when the Smart Welcome System detects your Smart Key (which never left my purse), the outside mirrors automatically unfold and the door pocket lights light up at night.

It has an amazing amount of storage, including storage under the floorboard in back. This is great for storing laptops or other electronics. It came in very handy when I had to take a cake to a party. It fit perfectly in the compartment. When I pulled the cover (floorboard) over it, it looks like the back is empty! You folks at Kia are brilliant!

Mr. Flavor Mosaic always says I should travel light. Well, let’s be honest. It is not going to happen. However, with the Kia Sorento that is no problem. Four large suitcases fit in the back with room to spare. I could have fit two more smaller ones in there as well. If I put the second row seats down, I could have fit a Christmas tree in it, or furniture, or any other numbers of things I want to buy.

In addition to the above features, the Kia Sorento has:

*Push Button Start
*USB and Auxiliary Input Jacks (This is a must for me to charge my phone)
*SIRIUSXM Satellite Radio
*Power Driver’s Seat
*And so much more!

I was so sad when they picked up the 2016 Kia Sorento when the week was over. It spoiled me. Now it has been added to my Christmas list
