I have grown up with that Folgers jingle and remembered their commercials over the years because of that jingle, especially their holiday ad that I think they play every year.
Every time I watched that commercial, it was like I was receiving a big hug, and I could almost smell the coffee brewing. Then I had the song continue playing in my head for the rest of the day.
I’m a little in shock that they are changing their jingle because it is such an icon. However, it is a fantastic opportunity for you if you are musically inclined because they are having a contest to create a new jingle and you have the chance to win $25,000!!!
Folgers has teamed up with Chris Young to inspire musicians to create their own unique version of the iconic Folgers jingle.

How to enter the Folgers Jingle Contest:
- Jan 30th to March 19th - Submit a video of your best version of the jingle on the Folgers' Website. Your version of the jingle must include the complete melody and complete lyrics of "The Best Part of Wakin' Up is Folgers in Your Cup."
- Feb 27th March 19th - 5 semi-finalists will be chosen and have a mentor session with Chris Young before the online vote.
- March 27th to April 24th - People from around the country will get the chance to vote daily for their favorite jingle. Every vote automatically enters you to win prizes up to $10,000!
- May - One winner will be chosen to win the grand prize of $25,000!
