Skillet Cookie with Chocolate Chips

This easy to make skillet cookie is soft, and gooey, with melty chocolate chips, and goes really well with vanilla ice cream.

  • Preheat your oven to 350℉ and make sure your skillet is well oiled or greased on the inside.
  • Cream together the butter and sugars, then stir in the egg and vanilla until smooth.
  • Add the dry ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, and stir until well combined and feels like cookie dough.
  • Stir in half of the chocolate chips, then move all of the dough to your skillet and gently press down into the shape of the skillet.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden on the entire top of the cookie. Let set for 5 minutes and then use a toothpick to check to make sure it is completely done. Then let cool for another 5 to 10 minutes before enjoying some with vanilla ice cream!

Notes

Store at room temperature, covered, for 2-3 days.
