Notes
For a boozy version of this sherbet punch for the adults, Vodka, white or spiced rum, or even whiskey would be delicious alcoholic additions. Start with 1 cup and taste to test, adding more depending on how strong you want the punch to be.
To keep the punch cold during the party, you can add an ice ring to the punch bowl.
This homemade non-alcoholic New Year’s eve sherbet punch always tastes the best immediately after being made but you can also keep any leftovers in the refrigerator (removing any fresh fruit garnish that could spoil) or make it a couple of hours before to be stored in the fridge with the fresh fruit garnish added just prior to serving.
Leftover non-alcoholic New Year’s eve sherbet punch could be poured in popsicle molds for some delicious frozen treats for the kids.
When serving this sherbet punch in a pitcher, you will need to use a large volume pitcher or perhaps decant this sherbet punch into 2 pitchers, easily accessible to guests. Of course, I think that this strawberry sherbet punch looks the best in a large punch bowl.
The cranberry ginger ale together with the strawberry sherbet is what gives this punch its deep pink-red color. No food colorants were used at all!
Make sure that the water, pineapple juice, and ginger ale are chilled before assembling the punch. This will give the punch a delicious chill factor!
If you intend to serve this punch to a larger crowd, simply double the recipe ingredients.
